A Garden in the Scorching Heat!

I know that a lot of people in the US live in regions where it's hotter than here in SoCal. But in those regions, I think that people mostly grow drought tolerant plants, and lean into zero scape.

I haven't yet embraced that type of garden, so when the heat comes on (which in past few years has been common) the garden really suffers.

It's feels so confounding. A month ago, the garden was thriving, colorful, green, and so so happy. Today. Not so much. Lots of sad, droopy plants. Some are holding their own, but I hurts me to see those that aren't.

There have been few times in the last several days that I feel like just giving up. How's it possible to garden in this heat? Especially when water is so precious.

Ugh.
