I can thank my friend, Syd, and my poor memory for this blog post. I had scheduled a lunch in Pasadena for noon - but Syd needed to push it back until 1:00 p.m. because of her work schedule.
However, when I started on my jaunt to Pasadena, I forgot about the time change and arrived earlier than I needed...so as I turned onto the street where we were to meet (in an hour's time) I saw this sign "Bungalow Heaven."
I thought, "I want to know about that!" What a wonderful idea, and a great example of community activism to preserve these architectural gems.
Here's their website. https://www.bungalowheaven.org
There's yearly tours!
And the Gamble House is.a not to miss if you're ever in the area. The inside is even more spectacular than the outside! Tours are on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Sundays.
Thanks Syd!
Wow, gorgeous homes! This is my favorite style of architecture. The Gamble House is spectacular. Thanks for giving us a glimpse, Jill!
