Cake Decorating Fail !

Honestly, I lettered that cake at least four times, and scaped it off four times. It made me crazy. And I had visions of a very florally decorated cake, with lots of detail and color. And you can see what I did. That was literally all I could manage. However, I do know what went wrong.

I didn't plan properly. I was preoccupied with the shower itself, and didn't have time to really devote to thinking about the cake. When you do something like this, it's best to research samples on the internet, and maybe watch a few youtube videos. I did none of that. I just plunged right in. Over-confidence at its best.

So that's what I get.

I don't think Baby Jay minded though. And I guess that matters most.
