Covid Catch-Up with Robert & Jill

It-s been a long three weeks. And I'm glad that it's over. I was more worried than I let on - and one day when Robert was being particularly stubborn about not doing what I thought he should do to heal more quickly -- I just had to give him the business.

I sat him down and said -- "I'm worried about you. And that has to count in your decisions about how you will behave as you are recuperating. You need to get well not just for you - but for me."

He heard me, and after that did exactly as the doctor and I said - and was an exemplary patient. He was also extremely careful about masking and isolating so that I did not get the virus, even though that was difficult in our not so large house.

It feels like a new beginning. And we're both ready for that.
