It was a busy day. Because all the schools (including pre-schools) are closed in Los Angeles, we took care of two of our grandchildren in the morning. And then we spent the rest of the afternoon communicating with friends and colleagues who have been impacted by the fire, and checking in with others to see how they are. In the evening we enjoyed a homecooked meal (thanks, Jill) with good friends who are staying in our guest house until their evacuation order is lifted.
