The songs of James Taylor are the soundtrack of my youth. High school days spent sending notes to classmates with the lyrics of "You've Got a Friend," hanging out with friends playing James Taylor songs on the "record player," and singing along in the car on a summer day with the windows down.
Such happy memories. And the concert was just as wonderful. JT was in good voice, and it was fun to see him sing with his son, Henry, and his wife, Kim too!
Tanglewood itself is a sight to see...and fans of James would not be deterred by the rain. They stayed for the whole concert, even though those on the lawn do not really "see" the concert, but listen to the music, and view the concert on big video screens around the property.
It was a moving evening, and...I want to go back!
